In 1963, Yılmaz Reducer’s first workshop was opened in Şişhane, Istanbul. The first reducer orders were received, and a decision was made to focus on reducers. In 1970, the building that used to be the old headquarters was purchased, with one half used for casting bodies and the other half used for reducer manufacturing. By 1987, Turkey’s largest reducer factory was established on a 23,000 m² area in Beylikdüzü.

In 2002, MES Casting Factory was established with fully automated lines. MES Casting took on the responsibility of producing all casting body parts for Yılmaz Reducer. In 2007, for the first time in Turkey, monoblock industrial type reducers were produced. These reducers were named the “H Series.” In 2011, Yılmaz Reducer continued to lead the reducer industry in Turkey with planetary reducers.

The first mass-produced planetary reducers in Turkey were introduced to Turkish industry. In 2012, “V Series” reducers optimized for the crane sector were released. The V Series reducers offered many advantages based on options for generators.

In 2013, within Çerkezköy, the Yılmaz Reducer group established the “ELK Motor” factory from business operations. In the same area, MES Casting increased its annual production capacities to 20,000 tons. In 2017, a comprehensive system solution was launched for users with Reducer and Motor Speed AC Motor Speed Control devices.
